At our Optical labs, we manufacture 3 different types of lenses: Single visions, Bifocals and progressives
WE HAVE VARIOUS TYPES OF LENSES.
Single vision: These lenses have the same power across the entire surface of the lens, and can be used for correcting uncomplicated eye defects, such as eye strain and fatigue, myopia (near sightedness) and hyperopia (farsightedness).
Bifocal: These are lenses which have two parts, one for long distance and seeing far, and a part for reading or seeing near, meaning that they eliminate the need for two different pairs of glasses.
Progressive: These lenses are for multiple distances: there is the upper part for long distance or looking far ahead, the intermediate part for middle distances such as looking at your computer screen and a part for near distance, for example reading. These are great if you don’t want to have several pairs of glasses for different activities.
Lens Coatings:All lenses that we produce can be manufactured with anti-glare coatings which protect against harsh white light and Photochromic which darken in the sunlight to protect sensitive eyes from harmful UV rays when you step outside. We can also tint lenses to make shades. Our technicians will assemble your glasses. Glazing is simply the cutting down of your lenses to the size of your frame so that they can be fitted inside.
Contact Lenses: These are small plastic lenses that go directly on the eyeball itself. We offer a number of different types
